Ergonomics and Posture
Ergonomic Assessment
Working from home has rapidly become the norm for many and understanding how to make the best out of your workplace has proven to be incredibly important.
An ergonomic assessment is an assessment of an individual’s working environment to ensure that it is suitable for purpose and to reduce the risk of injury in the workplace. When assessing a workstation, it is vitally important that we first understand the full demands of the occupation and tasks required as things differ dramatically. Whether you spend all of your day in front of a computer writing reports, making phone calls or in and out of online video meetings, subtle changes to your working environment can allow you maximise your efficiency whilst helping stay injury free.
As therapists, we are suitably skilled to provide a thorough assessment due to our knowledge of human biomechanics and can give simple but effective advice to try and reduce excessive load during the working hours.
