Elbow Pain
Introduction
Elbow Pain
The most common forms of elbow pain are Tennis elbow and Golfer’s elbow, but despite their names, you don’t have to be an athlete to experience them. They simply refer to pain on the outside and inside of your elbow joint caused by damage and irritation of the forearm muscle tendons. This usually occurs due to a stress overload within the muscle/tendon due to sudden and dramatic increases in gripping, lifting and carrying tasks. Pain can be high but the impact it can have on leisure activities and daily tasks can be far more infuriating.
Elbow pain can arise from several different causes, with direct trauma being a frequent one. Falling and landing on an outstretched arm or landing directly onto your elbow can cause an array of serious injuries from joint dislocations to bony fractures. In these incidences, please make sure you seek appropriate medical attention, and we will be there to rehab you back to full strength.
