Tom Catterick
The ex-England 7s and England Under-16s, 18s, 19s and 20s player is a regular feature for the Newcastle Falcons 1st XV. Catterick, 24, made his Falcons senior bow in Europe against Albi in the 2009-10 season, and featured prominently towards the end of the 2011-12 campaign, before getting his chance to shine in the RFU Championship the following year. A stalwart of the Falcons Premiership Rugby 7s squad, Catterick captained the club’s team during the 2014 competition, picking up a Man of the Round award in front of his home crowd at the Darlington Northern Echo Arena during the Falcons’ unbeaten first round outing, a performance which led to him being called up to the England Sevens side later that year. After years of playing across the back line, the 2014/15 season saw Catterick step Into the Fly Half position, becoming the latest in a long line of homegrown Falcons number 10s thanks to a string of increasingly assured performances across the league and European Challenge Cup.
